{Hello SECOND trimester}

Sorry for the delay....I had another horrible migraine yesterday!! But we did have our appointment  Monday to finally meet the doctor, and of course get another ultra sound.

This time I was finally feeling decent (maybe that is because it was 10:30 am instead of 8 am), ate a granola bar on the way, and was very excited to meet our doctor.

First things first was the ultra sound...

IT WAS AMAZING!!!!

I felt like we were watching a movie...our baby was moving all over the place!

Tossing and turning, moving it's arms and legs, even doing little summersaults!!!

As we held each other's hands and watched our little (6cm long from head to bottom) baby we both were just in awe! Smiling from ear to ear, I think it finally set in...We are having a BABY!!!!

After the ultra sound they did all kinds of tests and checks...the doctor was VERY VERY sweet and she said everything looks good.

Baby's neck measurement was 1 mm which is great, to be concerned about the three conditions they were screening for it would've been between 3mm-5mm.

And today marks my first day of my second trimester! 13 weeks exactly!

Doctor said "OFFICIAL DUE DATE is AUGUST 5, 2011"

He brought me this package from Grandma-To-Be!

I have to share what the sticker on the outside says...

"Today is God's gift

that's why we call

it the present."

Love that!

It was a precious and cute baby calendar!

Definitely put a smile and my frowning face...

still wishing the sun would come out,

and wishing I could have some friends and family

 out here with us!

{...confusion}

Every time we go to the doctor it is on a monday

 and it has been at 7 1/2 weeks and 8 1/2 weeks...

which would put me at 12 1/2 weeks today.

 But my hubby has this app on his phone where you put in the due date

 and it tells you how far along you are and it says something totally different.

All I know is I am very close to being done with my first TRIMESTER,

 which from what I have heard is a blessing.

More energy, less vomitting, less nausea....LET'S HOPE!

I also know that when we have our next ultra sound next monday we have to be 13 weeks....

so I guess I will just ask them to tell me when I go, that way I can keep up with it.

Recently my hubby has been staring at my stomach...

He keeps saying "You are starting to get a bump!"

He is so excited...me, not so much!

So my first baby bump picture will be taken next monday when I go for another ultra sound.

At that point I WILL BE in my second trimester!

Sorry you have to wait one more week to see (what the hubby thinks is) my baby bump.

Oh! And hair pics are coming soon...I have to charge my camera battery =)

I think it is truely DIVINE that I found this day spa online that is RIGHT by my house.

I have been waiting and waiting for my second trimester to get my hair done,

 but I CANNOT take it another minute.

 I am going to have a Master Hair Designer chop off my hair

 and give me some MUCH needed highlights

TOMORROW!

I am thinking go back to my haircut in 2007 but with a little more oomph!

More layers, more texture, kind of sassy...

What do you think?

BUT don't tell the hubby! I told him I am getting highlights

 but he doesn't know I am cutting my hair short.

He has been telling me to cut it since after the wedding,

but I have been trying to let it grow.

Being pregnant, with no energy, I want something I can quick dry and go!

Plus, how many moms do you see that actually have time to fix their long hair?

Short haircut it is!!! YIKES!

This will be next (crossing fingers)....nothing like a super relaxing facial!!

{Ten Weeks, Five Days}

This journal is so neat.

It tells you each day what is happening with the growth of your baby.

Today it says a new reflex is present: the rooting reflex.

The opening of the mouth

 when the face is touched, finding the food source.

It also says

our baby's thyroid, pancreas,

 and gall bladder have now completed their development.

How am I feeling?

I am extremely tired, no energy.

All day nausea/morning sickness.

No appetite.

Broken blood vessel in my eye from....the usual.

Next Dr. appointment/ultra sound:

Monday January 24!
